About
Grand Monument Build is a big, visual way to show what your company can achieve together. Each team receives tools, equipment, detailed plans and a self-assembly kit that will become one large 3D section.
Once their section is built, teams decorate it with color and slogans. The design can carry your brand message, a conference theme or a charity your company supports, and custom stickers can be added once the sections are joined.
Because every section must fit one shared design, teams agree on colors and themes early and keep checking with each other as they work.
In the finale, all the sections come together into one gigantic monument. It makes a great photo backdrop and a strong reminder of what the whole group created.
Learning outcomes
The activity moves through three stages. It starts with a 'me focus', as each person builds their own part, with resource management and quality control keeping every block on time and to standard.
Next comes a 'team focus', as people combine their blocks in a hands-on problem-solving exercise to make a larger section. Teams must agree how the pieces fit before anything is fixed in place.
Finally, a 'whole group focus' is needed to join every section into one monument. It works like a giant 3D jigsaw and only succeeds when every team has done its part well.
Seeing your company message become part of the structure makes it unforgettable. The monument stands as a clear reminder of what happens when everyone moves in the same direction.
