Classic Cinema Remake
Lights, camera, teamwork: remake a movie classic in one afternoon.

About
Korea has some of the world’s most celebrated filmmakers, and Classic Cinema Remake gives every team its own studio for the afternoon. The goal is to produce a 15-minute version of a famous classic movie.
Each team is assigned a film and given a big selection of props and costumes. The costumes spark ideas immediately, and teams quickly find their natural directors, writers and stars.
Teams then write the script, cast the roles, plan the shots and rehearse. When filming starts, they shoot and reshoot until every take feels right. Each team adds its own twist, so no two remakes are the same.
In as little as three hours, every film is finished. The premiere screens each one, followed by a red-carpet awards ceremony that celebrates the best performances and productions.
Learning outcomes
This laughter-filled challenge helps people relax and get creative. Acting, scriptwriting and filming take everyone a little outside their comfort zone, often with hilarious results, and coworkers see each other in a new way.
With time tight, teamwork, strategy and sensible role assignments are critical. Teams that agree on a plan early spend more of their time actually filming.
Filming and reshooting teaches teams to keep improving and aim for excellence while watching the clock. A strong take usually comes from small, steady improvements. Rewatching takes is often where the biggest laughs happen.
Teams also learn to balance different personalities and ideas while working toward a shared vision. The premiere gives everyone a proud and memorable moment, and even the quietest coworkers often steal the show.
